Sole Culture respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this Site, why we collect it, and how we handle it — in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) of the Republic of South Africa.

The responsible party for your personal information is Sole Culture, a luxury footwear brand based in South Africa.

When you submit your details through the notification list form, we collect the following personal information:

We collect personal information directly from you when you voluntarily complete and submit the notification list form on this Site. We do not collect personal information through cookies, tracking pixels, or other automated means beyond standard web server logs.
4. Why we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- Notify you when Founder Collection pre-orders open in July 2026
- Send you updates about Sole Culture releases, if you have consented to receive them
- Plan inventory and production based on aggregated preference data
- Respond to enquiries you send to us directly
The lawful basis for processing your personal information is your consent, given when you tick the consent checkbox and submit the form.
5. How we store your information
Your submission is delivered directly to our team by email. We do not store your personal information in a database on this website or on any publicly accessible server.
Your information is held securely within our internal email systems. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure.
6. How long we keep your information
We retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected — that is, until the Founder Collection pre-order process is complete, or until you request that we delete it, whichever comes first.
If you have consented to receiving ongoing communications, we will retain your email address for that purpose until you withdraw consent.
7. Sharing your information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We may share your information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating the Site or fulfilling orders (for example, logistics or payment partners when pre-orders open). Any such parties are required to handle your information in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

8. Your rights under POPIA
As a data subject under POPIA, you have the right to:

9. Cookies and tracking
This Site does not currently use cookies, analytics tracking, or advertising pixels. If this changes, this policy will be updated and you will be informed accordingly.
10. Children
This Site is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Site after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
